  1. REGISTER.HOW (not REGISTER.NOW!)

  3. As it has caused some confusion, here some information about the
  4. "registration process":
  5.  
  6. All versions prior to 1.0 are to be seen as beta tests, or
  7. "working out in the public" as someone stated. Please do not send
  8. any cheque or money order until that version comes out. If you
  9. insist, please note that V 1.0 will be mailed once it has reached
  10. the standard it's supposed to have ("bug- and option-wise").

  12. Several people already have sent money, and I did my best to inform
  13. them that I will send V1.0 together with a handbook as soon as it
  14. is ready (April/May 1993). Cheques I have will be cashed only then.
  15.  
  16. The registration fee is set at 25 US Dollars which includes
  17. surface mailing of:
  18.  
  19. 1 diskette (3.5" if you don't insist on 5.25")
  20.   including Version 1.0 of SC1MAP
  21.   sample files described in the handbook
  22. 1 handbook (not SC1MAP.TXT)
  23.   some nice German stamps carefully selected by the author's secretary
  24.  
  25. Registration is formless.

  27. As some people have asked me to accept credit cards, I will try to find
  28. out how this works and see whether it's worthwile to adopt that system
  29. too.
  30.
